Salicylic acid is very effective in combating common hoof diseases such as digital dermatitis, dermatitis interdigitalis, limax and many others.
Disinfects
Salicylic acid powder is intended for topical use and works by providing a disinfecting effect. When applied, salicylic acid helps the skin shed dead epidermis from the upper layer.

Application
Treatment starts with thoroughly washing the infected hoof, using salicylic acid powder, and then applying a bandage. Injury may occur if the bandage is wrapped too tightly.
The hoof bandage should be checked and changed daily if needed.
The bandage should be changed after max. 3-5 days in connection with a check.
